Extraordinary example of a completely sorted out 1977 Porsche 911S Sunroof Coupe. Properly rebuilt 2.7 Engine with all necessary machine work performed, estimated 230+HP. 66,300 miles showing. 1700 miles on all new drivetrain. Performance and handling exceptionally stronger and smoother than original configurations. Note: The Porsche flat 6 engine reaches its greatest volumetric efficiency point at 2.7 liters. The 917 Porsche racing engine consisted of two 2.7 Liter engines joined, which produced 1500 HP.
ENGINE
From 2012 to present auto has undergone a no expense spared full mechanical restoration including performance modifications. All parts invoices and sublet invoices included in documentation: Mahle 2.7 Euro RS piston & cylinders w/valve pockets. Camshafts with E grind. Main and rod bearings / standard. Raceware rod bolts & nuts, cylinder studs, nuts & washers ( Time Sert case savers). Oil pump. Oil bypass modification Kit. Oil fed chain tensioners. 930 exhaust valve covers. Intake & exhaust valves (12), guides & springs. Complete engine gasket - seal kit. Four engine mounts. B&B stainless heat exchangers and dual inlet muffler. PMO 40mm carburetor kit complete. Engine oil thermostat / all new oil lines and factory front cooler. Sachs power clutch kit with new flywheel, MSD Ignition. Ignition distributor rebuilt and recurved. Porsche braided stainless ignition wires. New battery.
Machine Shop: All new valve train components machined to cylinder heads. Cylinder heads flycut. Oil bypass modification. Time Serts installation. Raceware cylinder studs installed. Connecting rod wrist pin bushings replaced and sized. Intake valve covers planed.
TRANSAXLE
Transaxle completely rebuilt with all Rauch & Spiegel components. All new synchros, dog teeth, sliders, and gasket & seal kit. Wosp gear reduction starter. Fully rebuilt shift mechanism - short shift. Rauch & Spiegel coupler. Porsche bushings.
SUSPENSION & BRAKES
New Bilsteins front and rear. New sway bar bushings front and rear. New ATE calipers (not rebuilt) front and rear. New rotors, pads, hardware, hoses, front and rear. New front wheel bearings. Turbo Tie Rod Kit installed and aligned. Adjustable rear spring plates previously installed.
TIRES
Fuchs 6J X 15: Two dated 05/76, two dated 25/80. Spare is 01/74. Tires: Goodyear Eagle GT 205/60 R15 dated 2013
EXTERIOR
Refinished in original Black 700 - 9 - 2. Condition of paint is excellent. Two very small dents in driver’s side door. No rust ever, factory undercoated. New H4 headlamps & driving lamps. Euro rear tail light Lenses. Glass is exceptional. Windscreen replaced. All window, door, and sunroof seals renewed.
INTERIOR
Original seats and panels reupholstered in black leather. New dashboard. All instruments in excellent working order including Palo Alto MSD calibration with tachometer. New headliner and sun visors. Electric windows and sunroof work perfectly.
DOCUMENTATION
All records from purchase date of 10/28/1977 in Pasadena California, including stamped service book up to 30K. Thereafter all service records from private California shops up to and including present restoration. Factory Build Sheet included. Auto was in storage from 1997 to 2012. From 2012 to present auto was being refurbished. Clean Maine title. Seller and owner is registered NYS Dealer.
